Claude Connector - Setup Guide
Connect Claude to your Civic IQ account in 3 steps.
Here's how you can connect Claude to your Civic IQ Account:
1. Generate your Civic IQ API Key
Log in to your Civic IQ account and go to:
- Settings → API Keys
- Click + Create API Key, add Name and Description, set Scopes and Expiration as shown below and click Create Key
- Copy and store the API Key somewhere secure.
Keep this key private. It grants access to your Civic IQ account.
2. Add the Connector in Claude
This works on both the Claude desktop app and the web version at claude.ai. Steps are the same on both.
Go to:
- Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
Please note that Connectors is moving to "Customize" on Claude.
Enter the following:
Name: Civic IQ MCP
Server URL: https://mcp.civiciq.com/mcp/YOUR_API_KEYReplace YOUR_API_KEY with the key you copied in Step 1. No restart needed.
3. Allow Civic IQ Tools in Claude
Once the connector is added, click Configure next to the Civic IQ connector. You will see a list of tools.
- Set both Read-only tools and Writable tools to Always allow.
This lets Claude search signals, find contacts, discover contracts, and launch sequences on your behalf.
